We’d like to invite you to the DISCE-Kick-Off-Event on the 17th of may. As a part of the TEH Conference #87: pARTicipation the Horizont 2020 project will be officially started.
The DISCE project aims to learn more about the Creative Economies in the EU. During our three-year journey, they will be exploring the growth, education, business models and cultural development in the creative and cultural sector in the EU together with its stakeholders for contributing a better and more sustainable future in Europe.

The day consists of several clearly integrated elements which altogether aim at supporting the participants to work and learn innovatively in developing cultural and creative industries in Europe.

Warm-up Breakfast
We start the day with some sandwiches, coffee, tea and fruit.

DISCE Kick-off Event
The aim is to familiarise the participants of the new and innovative DISCE project and its goals in enhancing the cultural development, sustainability, inclusiveness and growth of the CCIs in Europe.
10:00–11:30 am
Panel Discussion: Beyond 2020: Future of Creative Economies in the EU.
The panel aims to have a conversation about the future of the Creative Economies in Europe. Europe has experienced a “creative boom” in last twenty years. Is it still the case? What did we learn from the last years? What does the future bring? What are the pitfalls? What are the opportunities?”

Co-Creation Lab
On the topic of Learning as a Sustainability Strategy.
The aim is to share and create knowledge in strategic planning and cultural policy at individual, organisational and policy levels. Furthermore, the Co-Creation Lab addresses the DISCE approach in enhancing the development of CCIs in Europe.
